Checking and Sending E-mail in Outlook Express The following step-by-step guide will show you how to set up your email account in Microsoft Outlook Express (or Microsoft Outlook).
Account Setup
Open Outlook Express. Select "Tools" -> "Accounts".

Select "Add" -> "Mail" in the dialog box.

Type your name in the Display name text box. Press the "Next" button.

Type your GreenAndWhite.NET email address - username@sjc.edu.hk or username@greenandwhite.net E.g. if your user name is myname then your email address would be myname@greenandwhite.net

Select POP3 as your incoming mail server.
For incoming mail (POP3) server: the server name is : mail.sjc.edu.hk
For outgoing mail (SMTP) server: please refer to the information given by your ISP for the server name. If you are using Netvigator as ISP, your SMTP server address will be : mail.netvigator.com.
Press the "Next" button.
Type your user name and password.
Press the "Next" button.
Press the "Finish" button.
Receiving email
Press the "Send/Recv" button on the toolbar.
Select the appropiate account to check for new emails.

Writing email
Press the "New Mail" button on the toolbar to write a new email.

Type the recipient's email address in the To: text box.
Type the subject and content of your email.

After you have finished, press the "Send" button.
